Jimi Hendrix Mural @ The Needle
This spraypaint portrait of music legend Jimi Hendrix was commissioned for The Needle Vinyl Lounge. The piece was inspired by Jimi's unforgettable music, style and presence, and is based on a classic photo of the rock god. The warped psychedelic background aspires to sacred geometry. Painted freehand, without the use of stencils or projectors, various levels of altered perception were employed. Ryder of Flavor Productions spent over 40 hours filming the piece being created and countless more in editing - huge thanks to him for going above and beyond on this one. The music is a custom remix of a Jimi classic, done by the beasts at Khost Music - killed it! Mad grateful.
FLAVOR X YEGSTREETART: Artist series - AJA Louden
My Man Ain't No Crook sardonically questions perception of infamously disgraced American president Richard Nixon's guilt in a system increasingly built around deception and control of information. Painted in The Creative Clubhouse's former venue, this piece aimed to challenge retroactive perceptions of morality in the telling of history by taking a devil's advocate position.
THE LIBERATORS & KAZMEGA | HEAD IN THE CLOUDS
I love Hip Hop. Stoked to be in this video with two of my favourite lyricists, shot at the former Flavor Productions studio! Hats off to Ryder and Wade at Flavor for putting this one together - they shot, directed, edited, and project managed this whole thing. Go ahead and hit play, and I'll let the good homies Kaz, Self, and Press take it from here!
EDMONTON JOURNAL: AEROSOL ACADEMY WORKSHOPS
This short video by the Edmonton Journal about AJA's Aerosol Academy workshops was shot during a workshop at the former Mill Woods freewall. Big thanks to Fish & Colleen at the Journal for covering the story, and to the Edmonton Arts Council for sponsoring the workshop!
GLOBAL NEWS: AD
Commercial for Global Edmonton. Mural was designed for and painted on Global Edmonton's Headquarters in collaboration with Joker, a youth from iHuman. Touch is the Emcee providing the soundtrack to and rhyming in the video - he's a beast on the mic (and just musically in general) and is part of the Touch & Nato team who's been crushing the scene for years.

DIZZY X JOHN DOUGH - THROW IT
Fun summer vibes in this one! Filmed, directed and edited by Angie at Vintage Reprise, this was a club-friendly single off of Dizzy's 2015 mixtape Been Dizzy. As fun and wild as the video looks, everyone was cool and super professional (i.e. nobody sprayed AJA in the back of the head while he was painting). The relaxed, summery vibes belie the fact that the smokebomb near the end caused a minor evacuation.
SHIEST - PROPS PILIN' UP
Snuck a little cameo into this Shiest video during Hip Hop in the Park in Edmonton, AB one year. Keep your eyes peeled haha it's short!
LOCUTION REVOLUTION - LRT VIDEO PREVIEW
A preview for the LRT video for Locution Revolution. The mural shown was painted as a backdrop for the LRT video, a lead single off of 2010's album Walk Tall.
